Before we could even start to collect data for a list of the most popular cities in Florida to move to in 2020, as some of the most reputable long distance movers Boynton Beach we had to answer a tough question: Is it fair to compare Tallahassee that has a population of 190,180 with places with a population of 18? We finally decided no, that just isn’t fair.

So to create our list, we broke places to live into three tiers:

  1. Cities – Populations over 5,000
  2. Towns – Populations between 1,000 and 5,000
  3. Small Towns – Populations below 1,000
This left us with 207 cities, 279 towns, and 126 small towns.

For the next step, we decided that, no matter how much residents love their town, the best cities to live in Florida will have more of everything and therefore you need to have over 5,000 people to get into the list of the most popular cities in Florida to move to in 2020. However, as the most experienced long distance movers Georgia can also acknowledge that city living might not be your cup of tea. That’s why we ran the following analysis on towns and then again for small towns. Then after we had our set of cities, it was time to rank them.

The criteria we looked at for our list of the most popular cities in Florida to move to in 2020, were:

After all this data had a chance to sink in, what was the best place to live in Florida? Surprise, surprise, it was Key Biscayne. Key Biscayne made a strong case and landed the Numero Uno on our list of the most popular cities in Florida to move to in 2020.

1. Key Biscayne

  • Median Home Value: $1,218,200 (1st best)
  • Unemployment Rate: 4.4% (53rd best)

Key Biscayne landed the title of “the best” on our list with its strong showing. It ranks highly in our list of the most popular cities in Florida to move to in 2020 because of its low unemployment rate and high median income. It scored extra points relative to the other cities for its size and things to do. If you’re thinking of relocating to Florida, Key Biscayne is a great option.

2. Palm Beach

  • Unemployment Rate: 2.3% (5th best)

Palm Beach had the 5th lowest unemployment of any place in our quest for finding the most popular cities in Florida to move to in 2020. The unemployment rate was at 2.3%, and it also had the 20th lowest crime rate. However, it also has a relatively low population density and long commute times. Which held it back from being higher on our list. Palm Beach boasts an exceptional Volunteer Fire Department that represents so much about what it’s like to live there.

3. Cities in Florida to move to in 2020: North Palm Beach

  • Unemployment Rate: 2.9% (12th best)

If you live in North Palm Beach, you probably already know how great it is. North Palm Beach has a stable economy where residents enjoy a large salary of around $68,000. And the crime is 7th lowest in Florida. So if you can afford to move here, we think you probably should. Such a pleasurable climate couldn’t hurt either.

4. Tequesta
